About The Position

The Forklift/Palletizer Operator performs team assignments in a dairy facility, including operating and supporting robotic palletizing systems, handling ice cream and pallets, transporting product, and completing accurate records. The role requires safe, efficient work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work with little or no supervision. Operators may be assigned to any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Demonstrate excellent work habits in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safe working habits.
Frequently lift more than 50 pounds.
Obtain a license and operate a forklift.
Be able to learn and perform all positions.
Work in a fast-paced environment and perform steady, productive work for extended periods.
Work well with others, be a team player, and assist team members in other areas.
Work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Work efficiently with little or no supervision.
Follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Possess basic math skills and communicate effectively.
Show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and demonstrate commitment to Publix and its mission.
Internal applicants must not have received a counseling statement within the past six months.

Responsibilities

Perform all team assignments.
Maintain housekeeping.
Perform daily start-up and shut-down of robot systems.
Clear jams and reset the robot.
Stack sleeves of ice cream when the robot is down.
Track and tag accurate pallet counts by line and product.
Keep the slip-sheet magazine full.
Transport full pallets of product to the warehouse.
Unload pallets from trailers and maintain a sufficient pallet supply.
Complete accurate documentation and records.
Assist team members in other areas and perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits
