POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE This role will be responsible for loading, unloading, stacking, sorting and segregating, and case picking product. This role may operate a pallet jack to accomplish some of the tasks above.
Requirements
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be capable of learning and retaining the skills needed to work in a safe, productive manner
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
- Must possess have a solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work overtime and weekends occasionally as required
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and change direction mid-stream
Nice To Haves
- Cold storage warehouse preferred but not required.
- Stand Up Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Counterbalance Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Stand Up Forklift experience required.
- Experience using other MHE equipment preferred but not required.
- Reach truck experience required.
- Must possess the skills to cross training Warehouse Operator I and II employees as necessary to fulfill customer demands and maintain warehouse efficiencies and productivity.
- Must be comfortable working at multiple height levels within a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Following proper handling procedure for products within the facility
- Working with accuracy and attention to detail on product orders
- Maintaining and working in a safe manner, in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards
- Palletizing goods and materials to put on trucks for transportation
- Successfully completing assigned tasks through coordination and teamwork with fellow warehouse employees and leaders
- Performing other duties as needed
