About The Position

Catamount is seeking a Project Executive to oversee the financial and operational success of the building process. This role involves partnering with Architects, Engineers, and Owners to support plan development, identify and plan project components, and ensure projects are completed on budget and within scope. The Project Executive will lead teams, build project teams, and maximize the performance of the project team. Additionally, this role is responsible for pursuing and developing new business, and cultivating client relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years’ related experience, preferably with industrial or manufacturing projects (but open to various portfolios)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably within the Construction Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project), and experience with (or ability to learn) Procore, office equipment and Internet Explorer or other similar Internet tools and experience
  • Strong desire to grow in their leadership capacity and influence
  • People and project management skills and abilities
  • Refined organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks for self, team, and projects
  • Outstanding communication skills (listening, presenting, interpersonal and written)
  • Advanced mathematic and reasoning ability, and strong negotiating skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, work-in-place and earnings forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability while mitigating risks and controlling costs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Prime contract from the project onset, manage negotiations and administration of contract as needed, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Establish the appropriate purchasing plan using strong negotiation skills, and make solid and timely decisions for the company and the project during the buyout process. Understand Master Subcontractor Agreements critical language and negotiate those only with approval of Division President.
  • Implement strategic goals at the project and market level to achieve Catamount’s broader growth goals and exceed client expectations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with BD Managers and professionals to secure new projects and expand Catamount’s client base.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards. Ensure project teams adhere to Operations Absolutes.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client, subcontractor and partner relationships, understanding their needs, expectations, and addressing concerns as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain project success. Hold self and others accountable to following critical operational processes and addressing risks head-on.
  • Ensure conformity with contract documents and scope of work, as well as address issues of underperformance if it arises.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead team coaching and mentoring. Identify gaps and opportunities for coaching, mentoring and training and lead efforts to provide necessary education.
  • Develop operational strategies, phasing plans, and project schedules that support the preconstruction effort. Maintain lead for operational oversight and interaction with the preconstruction team. Lead and participate in preconstruction efforts on appropriate opportunities.
  • Responsible for hiring and developing project team members (e.g., Project Managers and Engineers, Superintendents, and others as deemed appropriate).
