About The Position

The Forklift Operator I moves materials from inventory to production and back to inventory, providing production departments with materials according to the production schedule. The role maintains required paperwork and production records and supports the movement, handling, and storage of materials and finished goods. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Requirements

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education.
• Successfully complete the Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift driving experience.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.

Responsibilities

• Move materials in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label materials.
• Move finished goods from the production area to the finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete the pre-shift equipment startup checklist and report problems or concerns.
• Keep the rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and policies described in Company policy.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
