3rd Shift Forklift Operator
About The Position
As a team member in Crossdock Operations, the Forklift Operator works in a fast-paced environment and plays a role in the company’s supply-chain cross-docking operations. The position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and 5S standards; necessary job processes are trained. The operator works in a crossdock facility and must follow required PPE and maintain safety certifications and standards set by management. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and has no supervisory responsibilities. The schedule is third shift, Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM; weekends and overtime may be required as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be self-driven, have a positive attitude, and be willing to learn and work in a team environment.
- Must be able to follow directions to complete tasks and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ability to learn new programs as necessary.
- Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.
- Must follow required PPE requirements for entering the dock area, including reflective clothing and steel-toe shoes or shoe coverings.
Nice To Haves
- Prior warehouse experience.
- Prior forklift experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift.
- Unload inbound freight.
- Scan freight into the system.
- Notify the Supervisor of freight overages, shortages, or damage.
- Load outbound trailers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow safety and 5S standards and required PPE requirements.
- Maintain safety certifications and standards required by management.
