Forklift Operator-WEEKEND ONLY!!
About The Position
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within a warehouse. The role involves operating forklifts and material-handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods, support order fulfillment, and maintain organized inventory. The operator is expected to handle products carefully, comply with safety requirements and operational protocols, and contribute to smooth warehouse and supply-chain operations. The posting identifies the position as weekend only and lists first, second, and third shift hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, and 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, respectively.
Requirements
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and use RF scanning equipment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating clamp trucks and stand-up forklifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Previous experience in order picking and inventory control.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of general warehouse operations and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up forklifts, clamp trucks, and electric pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, handling goods appropriately to prevent damage.
- Pick orders using RF scanners and pallet jacks to prepare accurate shipments according to customer orders.
- Inspect forklifts and other equipment daily, and promptly report maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while following safety guidelines and warehouse protocols.
