About The Position

The Forklift Operator/Material Handler reports to the Operations Supervisor and ensures products are moved safely and efficiently within the warehouse by operating a forklift and physically loading and unloading trucks. The role also maintains proper inventory, good housekeeping, and warehouse standards. This position follows a rotating weekend-night schedule: Week 1 is Friday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.; Week 2 is Thursday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Compensation is $20.00 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential, with a 7% target quarterly bonus. Benefits are eligible. Travel is listed as 0–10.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Forklift operations experience is required.
Ability to regularly lift, move, and place up to 25 pounds of inventory as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus.
Additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a forklift to move finished products to the warehouse or onto trucks for customer distribution.
Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain the energy source for the lift.
Operate, change over, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on palletizing equipment.
Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
Perform safety inspections and audits as required.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Use scanning equipment to accurately track facility inventory.
Follow standard work policies and procedures.
Work with other forklift drivers to prevent line stoppages and improve operations.
Physically load and unload trucks.
Maintain proper inventory, good housekeeping, and warehouse standards.
