About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock between areas in a warehouse and load and unload shipments. The role involves operating forklifts and other powered equipment in a team-oriented, fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Equipment may include stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Core duties include moving product on forklifts and pallet picking. The position is 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with pay of $21.10. Forklift operators use powered equipment to handle products and materials, prepare shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and keep equipment and materials orderly. The role also includes equipment inspections, physical inventory assistance, and compliance with applicable safety standards.

Requirements

Previous experience operating a forklift.
Six months of forklift operation experience.
Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Pallet picking experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months of warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other powered equipment for 80% of the specified shift.
Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded.
Keep appropriate inventory records and reports.
Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Verify load accuracy, including count, stability, and damage, and report variances as necessary.
Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
Maintain facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Assist with physical inventories.
Complete daily equipment inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Move product on forklifts and perform pallet picking.
