About The Position

The Forklift Operator – Sit-Down operates sit-down forklifts to transport materials throughout warehouse and loading dock areas, supporting daily logistics operations. The role involves safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and moving goods while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distribution. Operators inspect equipment before each shift, track inventory movements, and stage and store materials according to operational requirements. Work takes place in a structured, safety-focused warehouse and dock environment.

Requirements

• Six months or more of sit-down forklift operating experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain powered industrial equipment certification.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials between dock, staging, and storage areas.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Load and unload trailers while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distribution.
• Accurately scan and track inventory movements using RF scanners or manual systems.
• Ensure materials are properly staged and stored according to operational requirements.
• Follow safety standards, operating procedures, and company policies.
