About The Position

The Forklift Operator position is a full-time role responsible for loading outgoing product and unloading incoming product. Primary tasks involve using a forklift to unload incoming product on the "wet dock" side of the facility, which includes taking temperatures of incoming product, notifying HACCP for temperature checks, completing paperwork, and placing product into the 34 room. Loading of trailers involves all temperature and record-keeping requirements of receiving product, with product typically removed from the 34 room into the trailer. Other duties include performing safety inspections of the forklift and trailer cleanliness, and completing load sheets. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

At least six (6) months of forklift operator experience with a single employer within the last 12 months.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Utilize forklift to unload incoming product on the “wet dock” side of the facility.
Take temperatures of incoming product.
Notify HACCP to allow them to take temperatures.
Complete paperwork and place product into 34 room.
Load trailers, including all temperature and record keeping requirements.
Remove product from 34 room into trailer.
Perform safety inspection of forklift.
Perform trailer inspection for cleanliness.
Complete load sheets.
