Forklift Operator, Day
About The Position
Operate an industrial forklift to perform material-handling assignments, identifying and transporting materials to and from storage areas and the loading dock. Use a forklift or high-lift to lower stock from higher-level reserve slots to ground-level pick slots for night- and day-shift operations, and to place received stock in higher-level storage slots during the day shift, following safe operating practices. The role transports pallet loads from the dock to designated warehouse slots, replenishes pick slots from reserve stock, performs equipment and safety checks, records damage, and keeps aisles clean. The position requires working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees.
Requirements
- Read and write legibly.
- Have basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Understand Voxware commands.
- Hold an OSHA-compliant Forklift Certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior Selector experience.
- Prior Forklift Operator experience.
Responsibilities
- Transport pallet loads of product from the dock to the correct warehouse slots using powered industrial equipment, ensuring pallets are secure in designated slots.
- Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night-shift selection.
- Perform operational and safety checks, including checks of the battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
- Record product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
- Maintain clean aisles by removing debris from floors and racks.
- Follow safety policies and practices at all times.
- Use a forklift or high-lift to move stock between reserve and pick slots and to place received stock in higher-level storage slots.
