About The Position

The forklift operator is responsible for putting away, lowering, and rotating full pallets of stock through warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand-up or sit-down forklift. The role also involves replenishing pick bins, unloading trailers, handling products safely, monitoring product quality, maintaining dock and pick-bin cleanliness, and recording daily work using an RF scan gun.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of forklift experience.
• Ability to work productively with all levels of the organization as a team player.
• Ability to pass a forklift operating exam.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse or distribution facility experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up, high-reach, or sit-down forklifts to put away or lower pallets in warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.
• Pick, sort, and replenish products from upper racks to front pick bins.
• Unload products from trailers using forklifts and powered riding pallet jacks.
• Move products manually from the receiving dock to the proper storage location.
• Monitor and enforce safe product-handling procedures.
• Replenish products from upper storage racks to lower pick bins within the cooler.
• Monitor product quality while products are being moved.
• Break down pallets on the receiving dock.
• Maintain cleanliness of receiving docks and pick-bin areas by sweeping, mopping, and restacking pallets.
• Clean and charge the forklift at the end of the shift.
• Record daily actions using an RF scan gun.
