About The Position

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. provides warehousing and distribution logistics services through a network of storage facilities that receive, store, process, and dispatch cargo. The Forklift Operator handles materials and freight using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift, supports the loading and unloading of trucks, and helps maintain a clean and safe work environment. The role also includes identifying discrepancies between incoming loads and their manifests.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The anticipated starting pay range is $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Maersk describes its workplace as diverse and inclusive and offers assistance with reasonable adjustments during the application and hiring process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred; one year of experience is stated.
• Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun required.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds unassisted.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is preferred.
• Previous forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform material-handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
• Complete work accurately and on time, including packaging and system tasks.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
