About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring a full-time Forklift Operator at its Lakeland, Florida service center. The role involves safely moving various types of freight into and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long. Operators work on a roofed, non-climate-controlled dock. The listed starting pay is $22.82 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with various shifts. Employees earn one week of vacation after 90 days of employment and receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to the company’s employee resorts.

Requirements

• Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests.
• Ability to read and interact with a computer display.
• Forklift experience.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Some LTL experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely move different types of freight into and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
• Operate a forklift on a roofed, non-climate-controlled dock.
