About The Position

The Forklift Operator is a key player playing a vital part in the loading, unloading and movement of inventory utilizing fork-lift/pallet jack machinery, optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency and support the production requirements for assigned location. This role is crucial for internal candidates as well, involving the operation and management of technical equipment like the Forklift/Pallet Jack for loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse gear. The operator will transport materials within the facility, secure loads before transport, identify workplace safety hazards, adhere to safety management standards, and pull or place cartons on racks.

Requirements

• The ability to work in a warehouse fast-paced environment, with a winning set of communication skills.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours depending on the daily work volume.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more, reaching & bending when offloading and separating shipments.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Professional Sports Leagues and Teams is a plus.
• Familiarity with the following Types of PIT (Forklifts): Stand Up Counter Balance Forklift, Center Rider Pallet Carrier, Stock Picker.
• Average knowledge in reading and understanding bar codes on boxes utilizing RF scanning equipment (preferred).
• Previous experience working in a warehouse manufacturing environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ability to operate and manage technical equipment like the Forklift/Pallet Jack.
• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse gear.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Securing loads to the Forklift machine before transporting.
• Identify workplace safety hazards & adhering to safety management standards.
• Pull or place cartons on the racks.
• Perform inventory counts accurately.
