Forklift Operator (Nights)
About The Position
SpartanNash, a food solutions company and member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, is hiring a Forklift Operator in San Antonio, Texas. The role operates a forklift to move, load, unload, relocate, and stack merchandise. It also involves pulling and staging delivery orders, unloading inbound shipments, loading outbound shipments, and moving products to dispersing trailers. The operator is responsible for safe, efficient vehicle operation and for keeping facility equipment neat, clean, and orderly. The position works under close supervision with clearly defined standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic technical skills.
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow clearly defined standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and assigned.
- Ability to work assigned shifts of 8–10 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequent sitting, walking, standing, handling and grasping objects, repetitive foot movements, crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with changing temperature and humidity and moderate-to-high noise levels.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
