About The Position

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Forklift Operator for a fast-paced food manufacturing warehouse. The role involves operating a Crown stand-up forklift and supporting unloading, production pulling, order fulfillment, receiving, and pallet-building activities. The listed pay rate is $22.50 per hour. Days off are typically Tuesday and Wednesday.

Requirements

• Two years of experience operating stand-up and reach lifts.
• Experience operating stand-up forklifts is required.
• Ability to keep up with a fast, repetitive pace.
• Ability to lift 50 to 60 pounds as necessary.
• Simple math skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact with management and co-workers.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse experience.
• High-lift reach truck experience.
• WMS system experience.
• Interest in or experience with technology.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload docked trailers.
• Pull and load customer orders.
• Receive inbound orders.
• Build pallets and pallet displays.
• Communicate effectively and support, encourage, and invest in a strong team.
• Act with integrity and urgency, use sound judgment to assess situations, and focus on delivering strong customer results.
