About The Position

The Forklift Operator puts away materials in appropriate locations and delivers materials to departments as needed. The role includes troubleshooting material discrepancies, keeping materials and work areas clean and organized, ensuring equipment and materials are properly used and stored, completing projects assigned by management, and performing cycle counts and assisting with physical inventories as needed. The operator must work safely and effectively under production pressure.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements.
• Experience operating a standard forklift.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates a team mentality.
• Good time-management skills.
• Good stress-management skills.
• Good communication skills, particularly listening skills.
• Flexibility with work hours, including Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
• Flexibility and ability to work under production pressure.
• Ability to work effectively with details and numbers.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot material discrepancies using problem-solving skills.
• Put away materials in appropriate locations.
• Deliver materials to departments as needed and requested.
• Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
• Keep materials and the work area clean, organized, uncluttered, and free of potential safety hazards.
• Ensure materials and equipment are organized, used, and stored properly.
• Complete projects and other functions as assigned by management.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories as needed.
