About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock and materials within a warehouse. The role involves safely loading and unloading shipments of various sizes and using equipment such as sit-down, stand-up, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The warehouse environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. The operator uses forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment for most of the shift and supports shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization.

The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $21.35 per hour.

Requirements

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Six months of warehouse experience, preferred.
• Six months of forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and types of products are loaded.
• Keep appropriate inventory records and reports.
• Follow OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, count, stability, and product condition; report variances as needed.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
• Keep facility equipment, materials, and work areas neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Inspect equipment daily before use.
• Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization.
• Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
