Forklift Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., producer of the Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine, is seeking a forklift operator for a full-time position. This role involves operating a forklift to unload trucks, place product into the warehouse, move product around the warehouse, and load trucks for customer shipment. The company is a leading producer of pressure-treated lumber products and distributes a large volume of products from well-known brands, serving lumber yards and building supply stores throughout the South, Midwest, and Northeast.
Requirements
- Must have previous forklift experience
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Lumber experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Use pedals to go forward and backwards as well as be able to navigate a warehouse.
- Use hydraulic controls to lift, tilt, and shift product for stacking or movement.
- Unloading trucks and placing product into the warehouse.
- Loading for production.
- Moving product around the warehouse.
- Loading trucks for logistics to ship to customers.
