The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment. This includes receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and replenishment (stocking) of products to pick locations via forklift or by cart moves. The role also involves maintaining inventory accuracy, monitoring cooler/freezer temperatures, and keeping the warehouse area organized. The position requires the ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, due to varying freight volumes. Responsibilities include efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate equipment, utilizing mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments, safely climbing in and out of trailers, lifting objects up to 50 lbs. frequently, securing freight inside trailers, and performing tasks such as reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling as necessary. Verification and completion of required documentation and adherence to company safety policies are also key aspects of the role. Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors is expected in this fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. The role also requires working safely in cold weather conditions.
