About The Position

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment. These duties include receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and replenishment (stocking) of products to pick locations via forklift or by cart moves. The role also involves maintaining inventory accuracy and monitoring coolers/freezer temperatures. The operator is responsible for keeping the warehouse area organized. Mom’s Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide for over 25 years. We provide seniors, patients recovering post-discharge and those managing a chronic condition with tailored nutrition solutions to manage their specific needs. Mom’s Meals is a family-operated business looking for fun, compassionate, and friendly people who want to make a difference in the lives of others.

Requirements

Must have both stand-up and sit-down forklift experience and RF scan gun experience
Stand up forklift or high-low forklift experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently
Good basic math skills

High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evening, nights and weekends due to varying freight volumes
Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed
Must be able to operate stand up forklifts primarily as these will be used the majority of the time
Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments
Safely climb in and out of trailers
Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)
Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)
Safety walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery
Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
Verify and complete required documentation and reports
Adhere to company safety policies
Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented
Safely work in cold weather conditions
