About The Position

Amcor is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining a forklift safely and efficiently, supplying production with raw materials, and managing finished goods. The operator will also be responsible for printing and scanning Bills of Lading, transferring goods to staging or storage, loading trucks, completing logs and data input, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and maintaining a clean work area. Requirements

  • 1 year minimum experience using sit-down propane, gas or diesel forklift
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • May sit for up to 11 hours per day, looking over shoulder to drive backwards

Responsibilities

  • Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instructions, visual management and computer interface.
  • Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished product.
  • Prints and scans Bill of Lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner.
  • Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
  • Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements.
  • Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
  • Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.
