About The Position
The Workforce Group, a LEMOINE company, is seeking skilled and reliable Forklift Operators to join their Emergency Response Logistics Support Reservists Cadre Team. This role is crucial for supporting emergency operations by safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other heavy material handling equipment to load, unload, and move supplies, ensuring the timely delivery and management of essential resources during disaster response efforts. These are seasonal positions located in disaster response areas in Louisiana, potentially requiring travel on short notice for durations of several days to a few weeks, or possibly 30 days or more, depending on disaster response needs. Ideal candidates must be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Prior experience operating forklifts in logistics, warehouse, or emergency response settings is required.
- The position also requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and teamwork.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects is required.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.

- The ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor and high-pressure scenarios, is preferred.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours—such as nights, weekends, and holidays—is essential, particularly during emergency deployments.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials at designated sites.
- Assist with general logistics support including setup and breakdown of loading zones.
- Conduct safety checks and routine maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Assist with other logistics or labor duties as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
