About The Position

Richardson is hiring a Forklift Operator for nights at its New Hope, Minnesota pasta production facility. Richardson’s food and ingredients division connects farm to table through a vertically integrated supply chain and manufactures dry pasta products for diverse markets. The Forklift Operator supports shipping, receiving, inventory storage, production, and timely delivery of products in accordance with quality and safety standards. The role pays $29.35 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour for the third shift (11 p.m.–7 a.m.).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Able to meet the listed physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in dusty, high-heat, and humid conditions.
• Able to make fine distinctions in sound, visually distinguish objects and equipment, and communicate ideas by spoken or written word.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Previous forklift operating experience.
• Previous experience with scanner equipment.
• CDL license.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store products in support of production and shipping schedules.
• Transfer products, pallets, totes, and materials throughout the facility, recording accurate inventory transactions with scanners and warehouse systems.
• Supply work-in-process materials to production, move finished goods from production areas, and replenish line supplies for upcoming shifts.
• Perform daily forklift inspections, complete safety checklists, and monitor equipment condition.
• Change labels, enter product information into printers and scanners, and inspect totes and products for quality and accuracy.
• Keep the work area clean and organized by handling scrap materials, operating cardboard compactors, assisting with manual palletizing, and performing other assigned duties.
