About The Position

The Rough Terrain Forklift Operator is responsible for transporting full/empty cage modules to and from the cage dump and live haul trailer. This role ensures cages are in good repair before being placed back on the trailer and that Tyson Animal Welfare policies are followed. The operator must maintain a steady pace to keep up with line speed and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Additionally, the operator is responsible for maintaining and inspecting their equipment and reporting any deficiencies to management.

Requirements

  • Requires a Tyson Rough terrain forklift license.
  • Operators are required to inspect their equipment daily.
  • Trained in Tyson Animal Welfare policies.
  • This position requires the use of steel toe shoes.
  • The physical ability to sit throughout the day.
  • Step on/off a forklift safely.
  • Must be able to work outside in the elements.
  • Must be able to maintain safety procedures during wet/icy conditions.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
