About The Position

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. The team members performing this job are required to know and understand the machines they operate as well as the set-up and tear- down requirements to properly operate within specification. Monitor loaf weights to maintain weight range and orientate the trays in the correct position for entering the packaging machine for sealing. The trays weigh between 1 to 8 pounds depending on the product being produced. If the machine is stopped or an over feed condition exist the team member will be required to rack the trays off on a cart which requires a forward reach of approximately 24 to 30 inches. Once the condition is resolved, the team members will place the racked trays back onto the in-feed conveyor. This process will be continual through out the enter work shift at full production rates.

Requirements

Must have successfully completed probationary period.
Must have excellent attendance record (6 points or less) and maintain 9 points or less.
Excellent Safety record, must not have a disciplinary action resulting in Suspension in the last 12 months.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Know and understand the machines they operate.
Perform set-up and tear-down requirements for machines.
Operate machines within specification.
Monitor loaf weights to maintain weight range.
Orientate trays in the correct position for entering the packaging machine for sealing.
Rack trays off on a cart when the machine is stopped or an overfeed condition exists.
Place racked trays back onto the in-feed conveyor once the condition is resolved.
