About The Position

This position involves operating a forklift in a cold environment (0 degrees or less) to manage product rotation, inventory, and loading/unloading trucks. The role requires attention to detail for paperwork, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to work independently to complete tasks. It is a B Shift position and may involve rotation.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• 3 months of accumulative forklift experience.
• Ability to work in cold atmosphere 0 degrees or less.
• Ability to work without direct supervision until job is completed.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Must abide by all department safety rules.
• Must have only worked at Tyson no more than three times, 180 days rehire waiting time.
• The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare department paperwork with legible handwriting.
• Rotate and pull product by earliest dates.
• Sweep and maintain good housekeeping in areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain forklift licenses within 10 days.
• Communicate with proper personnel.
• Work in a cold atmosphere of 0 degrees or less.
• Work without direct supervision until job is completed.
• Lift 70 pounds.
• Work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Abide by all department safety rules.
• May be subject to rotation.
