About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves operating a forklift, pallet jack, or reach truck to move materials, inspect equipment, and maintain inventory. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory in various storage areas (freezer, cooler, dry goods), and ensuring production lines are supplied with necessary materials. The position also requires recording inventory transactions in the SAP system, ensuring correct labeling of goods, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment according to 5S principles, GMPs, and USDA regulations.

Requirements

  • 1 year of forklift driving experience.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to operate in a safe manner, and in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Willing and able to use handheld computer to pick and scan product to outbound loads.
  • Willing and able to communicate effectively with other TM’s and assists in coordinating to accomplish all assigned tasks.
  • Willing and able to operates powered pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck.
  • Willing and able to work areas and around raw materials, packaging, and pallets to the appropriate production areas.
  • Willing and able to move inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, and a dry goods area.
  • Willing and able to unloads trucks.
  • Prior Tyson workers must complete a 365-day rehire wait period before being considered for the role.
  • Prior Tyson workers will not be considered for the position after having work 3 times or more for Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

  • Transport and/or unload materials in a timely manner.
  • Operate powered pallet jack, forklift, and/or reach truck.
  • Inspect forklift daily, charge batteries, maintain battery water level, and change batteries as necessary.
  • Move inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, and a dry goods area.
  • Move finished goods and work-in-progress from production lines to the shipping area.
  • Unload trucks.
  • Cover and stretch-wrap pallets.
  • Ensure assigned production lines are continuously supplied with clean raw materials and packaging.
  • Record movement transactions in the SAP system.
  • Ensure all raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP’s, and USDA regulations.
  • Use handheld computer to pick and scan product to outbound loads.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and assist in coordinating to accomplish all assigned tasks.
