About The Position
The Forklift Operator operates a forklift truck to stack and retrieve supplies and materials while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices. The role supports production by supplying raw materials to production lines, handling and securing product, and performing inventory and product-labeling tasks. The operator must comply with company and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to become Forklift Certified within 30 days of starting the role.
Responsibilities
- Comply with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- Load trucks and secure product according to customer requirements.
- Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Monitor material usage on the work floor and supply production lines with raw materials.
- Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules.
- Keep production lines supplied with raw materials.
- Inventory product as needed; label, sort, wrap, and tie product.
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
