Forklift Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position
As a Forklift Operator, you will help support the manufacturing process by moving materials and products efficiently within the plant. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods safely and accurately; keep warehouse products organized in their designated locations; and perform order-picking and inventory-management tasks. The role contributes to the productivity and success of manufacturing operations. This position is listed as 1st shift. Duties include handling materials, assisting with shipping and receiving, inspecting and maintaining records for the forklift, and supporting a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse.
Requirements
- Certified forklift operator license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Comfortable working independently.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Warehouse or forklift experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Unload, stack, wrap, move, and stage materials using a forklift.
- Track inventory movements and assist other drivers as needed.
- Assist with shipping and receiving of products.
- Identify damaged products and report quality deficiencies.
- Inspect the forklift and keep service records updated.
- Maintain a safe warehouse and promote a safety-first culture.
- Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Follow warehouse policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform order picking and inventory-management tasks.
- Store products in their designated locations.
