About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Forklift Operator for its warehouse in Jasper, Tennessee. The role operates on the weekend night shift: Thursday and Friday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Starting base pay is $19.50 per hour, with an additional $0.85 per hour shift differential. Benefits begin on the first day, and the posting lists 80 hours of vacation. The Forklift Operator supports warehouse inventory control, safe product storage and shipment, and customer satisfaction through careful product loading and crate building. The operator uses forklifts and multidirectional equipment, fulfills orders, stages shipments, maintains equipment and warehouse areas, and participates in safety programs. The position may also perform basic Warehouse Associate 4 duties based on ability and experience. The work takes place in a warehouse with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust. It involves continual lifting, twisting, and bending, including lifting up to 86 pounds individually and 87 to 100 pounds with assistance. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
At least 18 years of age to apply.
Six months of experience as a Warehouse Associate 2 or six months of related experience is preferred.
Thorough understanding of the company distribution process and procedures.
Good eye-hand coordination and excellent manual dexterity, including skill with hand and electrical tools.
Ability to read and comprehend numbers.
Ability to lift 86 pounds individually and 87 to 100 pounds with assistance.
Detail-oriented, with good communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
Ability to separate product by profiling color.
Proficiency working with hand, electrical, and pneumatic tools.
Ability to safely operate a multidirectional forklift.
Company motorized equipment license required.
Must use safety glasses and ear plugs as instructed.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience as a Warehouse Associate 2 or six months of related experience.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and multidirectional equipment safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Correctly fill orders from inventory and stage product for shipment.
Review the dispatch log and load flatbeds accordingly.
Set up materials for crate building and build crates to support product quality and customer satisfaction.
Provide production with product storage racks.
Change forklift batteries and gas tanks, report equipment maintenance needs, and perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment.
Maintain warehouse areas and perform housekeeping.
Train on paperwork and bills of lading, inventory and cycle counts, and BPCS.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if required.
Perform basic Warehouse Associate 4 duties at times, based on ability and experience.
Maintain an accurate daily time card.
Participate in plant safety programs and perform all duties in accordance with safety policies and applicable requirements.
Use required personal protective equipment and promptly report unsafe working conditions.
