About The Position
The Forklift Operator operates a forklift truck to stack and retrieve supplies and materials and follows the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices. The position is based at Altium Packaging’s Phoenix, Arizona location and works the D shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Current OSHA forklift driving certification.
Responsibilities
- Comply with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- Load trucks and secure product according to customer requirements.
- Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Monitor material usage on the work floor and supply production lines with raw materials.
- Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules.
- Keep production lines supplied with raw materials.
- Take inventory as needed; label, sort, wrap, and tie product.
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
