About The Position

The Forklift Operator moves pallets and other materials through different warehouse areas to support production requirements and loads and unloads customer trailers. Depending on the location and business needs, the role may also include hand-sorting pallets and repairing damaged wooden pallets. The position is described as vital to the success of the Relogistics site.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification preferred.
• One to three years of forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to the appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment.
• Operate forklifts with extreme care and follow company safety procedures at all times.
• Hand-sort wooden pallets when required.
• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Load and unload customer trailers.
