About The Position

Saddle Creek Logistics Services is hiring a Forklift Operator for a Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. shift in Joliet. The role supports warehouse operations by moving inbound and outbound products, verifying shipments, and using handheld equipment to meet warehouse management system requirements. Operators also assist with inventory activities, maintain equipment and facility cleanliness, and follow company procedures and safety guidelines. The warehouse is not temperature-controlled, so indoor temperatures fluctuate with the seasons.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
Ability to maintain productivity and accuracy standards.
Ability to understand and carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where indoor temperatures fluctuate through the seasons.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trailers and railcars and transport loads to designated areas.
Check inbound and outbound products to verify items and quantities and identify damage.
Use handheld scanners and equipment to comply with warehouse management system requirements.
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
Recharge batteries, fill fuel tanks, or replace gas tanks.
Perform daily equipment maintenance inspections.
Follow company procedures and policies to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Follow company safety policies and guidelines to help ensure safe working conditions for self and others.
Work cooperatively with other warehouse associates.
Help keep the facility clean, neat, and orderly.
Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
