Forklift Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position
As a Forklift Operator, you will support the manufacturing process by moving materials and products throughout the plant efficiently and safely. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods, keep warehouse products organized in their designated locations, and perform order-picking and inventory-management tasks. Your work contributes to the productivity and success of manufacturing operations. This position is listed as 1st Shift. Responsibilities also include supporting shipping and receiving, identifying damage and quality deficiencies, inspecting equipment, maintaining a safe and clean facility, and following warehouse policies and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Certified forklift operator license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working independently.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Warehouse or forklift experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Unload, stack, wrap, move, and stage materials using a forklift.
- Track inventory movements and assist other drivers as needed.
- Assist with shipping and receiving of product.
- Identify damages and report quality deficiencies.
- Inspect the forklift and keep service records updated.
- Maintain a safe warehouse and promote a safety-first culture.
- Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Follow warehouse policies and standard operating procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods.
- Keep products organized in their designated locations and perform order-picking and inventory-management tasks.
