About The Position

This Operations position is responsible for stocking received merchandise in the appropriate locations, operating and maintaining equipment associated with warehouse activity, and performing related duties. The operator works in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces and may perform order-selector duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma/GED or six months of related warehouse experience or training.
• Six months of warehouse distribution experience.
• Ability to work nights.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and number series.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to perform arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer skills.
• Must be able to handle up to 80 pounds.
• Demonstrated adaptability, attendance and punctuality, dependability, ethics, initiative, interpersonal skills, motivation, organizational support, planning and organization, professionalism, quality, productivity, safety awareness, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

• Previous stand-up forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric forklift using levers and pedals to drive and control the lifting apparatus.
• Unload and load product pallets using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Store and remove pallets of products from rack locations.
• Place product in overflow locations.
• Hand-stack product onto and off pallets and into packing locations as required.
• Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, removing ice, scrubbing with rags and brushes, and removing trash.
• Transfer leftover items to the Home slot at the end of the shift.
• Clean aisles and pick up leftover pallets at the end of the shift.
• Perform order selector duties as needed.
