About The Position

The Forklift Operator moves products throughout the warehouse using material handling equipment and operates manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. The role involves warehouse freight and product-handling tasks, maintaining accuracy and timeliness, and following safety requirements. The position is scheduled for the 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.

Requirements

Forklift certification is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience using an RF scan gun is required.
Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds unassisted.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is preferred.
Previous forklift certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Perform material handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
Ensure work is completed accurately and on time, including packaging and systems work.
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
