About The Position

The Forklift Operator I moves materials from inventory to production and back, maintaining required paperwork and production records. The role supplies production departments with materials according to the production schedule and moves finished goods to inventory areas.

Requirements

Minimum 9th-grade basic education.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Successfully complete the Forklift Driver licensing process.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift driving experience.
Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.

Responsibilities

Move material in process from one station to another when necessary.
Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
Move finished goods from production areas to the finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment.
Complete pre-shift equipment startup checklists and report problems or concerns.
Keep the rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
Complete production records as required.
Follow forklift rules and policies described by Company policy.
Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
Perform other duties as required.
