About The Position

The Forklift Operator moves stock around a warehouse using a forklift. The role includes loading and unloading equipment and storing or relocating materials within a warehouse or manufacturing plant. The position works in a warehouse facility and has general hours of 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. No travel is required.

Requirements

1–3 years of certified forklift experience.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate and read labels in English.
Ability to frequently carry or lift 50 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

Sit-down forklift experience.
Pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain inventory.
Organize and safely secure boxes, bales, pallets, and super stacks.
Pick orders from inventory using a pick sheet.
Shrink-wrap pallets for shipping.
Weigh products or loads and record weights.
Move hazardous materials.
Report faulty equipment, rack damage, and other potential safety hazards.
Complete forklift certification update courses.
Maintain a clean work area.
Analyze production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements.
Maintain equipment by cleaning, oiling, recharging, and refueling it as needed.
Consult and coordinate with managers, employees, other departments, and equipment manufacturers regarding loading and unloading operations.
Attend meetings with managers and coworkers.
Prepare, present, or approve bills of lading.
Check in and approve new shipments.
Perform quality checks and report quality variances through proper channels.
Adhere to uniform requirements.
Rotate stock to ensure the oldest products are picked first.
Stay alert to other employees in the work zone.
Use radio-frequency equipment as needed for picking, put-away, receiving, and loading functions.
Comply with OSHA standards.
