About The Position

This is a temporary, full-time position for a Forklift Operator for a highly anticipated professional sports CT tournament. The event takes place from June 24th to June 28th. The role involves operating forklifts and other lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Responsibilities include driving gasoline or electric-powered trucks, manually or mechanically loading/unloading materials, positioning lifting devices, signaling workers, inspecting product loads, weighing materials, and performing routine vehicle maintenance. The position offers great hours with day shifts of approximately 8-9 hours each. Weekend availability is important, though full availability for the entire event is preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisor experience in a related role is required.
  • Forklift certification or license.
  • Reliable Transportation
  • 6+ months of relevant experience in your applicable role
  • Authorized to Work in the U.S.
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs and remain on your feet for extended period

Responsibilities

  • Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material.
  • Move controls to drive gasoline- or electric-powered trucks, cars, or tractors and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.
  • Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing the liquefied-gas tank.
