This facility operates 5+ days a week, has potential for overtime, and produces sandwiches. This position is responsible for carefully operating a forklift to move packages and materials around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety in accordance with Tysons production guidelines and Safety. Safely operate stand-up forklifts and reach trucks in a fast-paced freezer environment. Responsible for transporting, staging, and storing products while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • 6-month forklift experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)
  • Must be willing and able to wear required PPE to work in an extremely cold environment (below -10 degrees F).
  • Must be willing and able to work for extended periods in cold environment (30F – 40F)
  • Must be willing and able to walk and reach with hands and arms 100% of the time.
  • Must be willing and able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel 100% of the time.
  • Must be willing and able to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch; or crawl 25% of the time up to 10 hours per day.
  • Must be willing and able to sit 75-100% of the time for up to 8 - 10 hours per day.
  • Must be willing and able to lift 50 pounds and/or move up to 300 pounds (with assistance) 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Unload/Load materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs through accurate paperwork and/or electronic scanning.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment while driving within the facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
