About The Position

Forklift Operators (Reach Truck) load, unload, sort, stage, and transport products into and out of a warehouse. They work cooperatively with other associates and productively with little supervision, while following company safety policies and procedures. The role is based in California and pays $19.50 per hour, with a $0.75 second-shift differential. The scheduled shift is 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The warehouse may be non-temperature-controlled, with indoor temperatures fluctuating by season. Associates must be able to perform physically exerting warehouse tasks, move or lift up to 50 pounds, work overtime, and adjust their schedule as needed. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a reach truck.
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically exerting warehouse tasks.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where indoor temperatures fluctuate with the seasons.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
• Must be able to work overtime and adjust schedule as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with RF equipment.
• Warehouse experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience in a food-grade or refrigerated warehouse.
• Familiarity with and ability to use order management systems such as WMS.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with company or site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Load and unload trailers, railcars, and transports to designated areas.
• Check inbound and outbound products to verify items and quantities and identify damage.
• Use handheld scanners or equipment to comply with the warehouse management system.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance inspections.
• Work cooperatively with other warehouse associates.
• Help keep the facility clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform additional duties assigned by a supervisor.
