About The Position

This role is responsible for operating fork trucks and stock pickers in a safe, efficient, and effective manner to process outbound orders. The position involves stocking merchandise, managing rack surplus, replenishing outbound totes, and assisting with mezzanine zones. Team members with experience may also be designated as trainers, responsible for overseeing the DC target training program and ensuring all documentation is complete. This includes explaining job duties to new team members and conveying departmental or procedural changes to existing ones. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Operating knowledge of fork trucks and power equipment
  • Working knowledge of parts lines in warehouse and surplus merchandise locations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Experience operating various type of power equipment
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

  • Process all outbound orders requiring the use of a forklift or stock picker.
  • Stock all rack merchandise and arrange rack surplus from zones in the appropriate manner.
  • Set down rack surplus for zones so orders can be filled.
  • Perform any miscellaneous tasks that require a fork truck.
  • Replenish outbound totes as needed, where applicable.
  • Assist with maintaining mezzanine zones.
  • Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
  • As a trainer, take ownership of the DC target training program ensuring that all training is conducted according to schedule, and that all documentation is complete.
  • Explain specific job duties and functions to help ensure success of new team members, as well as to convey any departmental or procedural changes to existing team members.
