Requirements

  • Reading and writing skills required.
  • Ability to operate a counterbalance forklift.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, not required.
  • One year of related manufacturing experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Starts before-shift inspection of forklift for preventive maintenance and safety and PPE.
  • Assists wherever needed throughout the warehouse in shipping and receiving dept.
  • Assists with Inventory control ensuring counts correct.
  • Participates in Physical Inventories.
  • Stacks and organizes product on pallets, shrink wraps to prepare for shipment.
  • Performs daily PM checks on the forklifts. (check sheet)
  • Practices proper operation and use of the dock plate restraints.
  • Practices proper operation of the circular saw and wrapping machines.
  • Ensures the Hazardous marking on the Bill of Lading matches the Markings on the containers.
  • Monitors the Truck Drivers entering the facility for DOT Security.
  • Monitors the Use of proper PPE for the Truck Drivers entering the facility.
  • Monitors the safe storage of the products in their respective bin locations and shipping lanes.
  • Pick and pack customer orders to meet OTIF.
  • Utilizes warehouse practices, 5S and good housekeeping practices.
  • Complies with the DOT Security Plan and regulations.
  • Monitors the Kanban inventory system.
  • Mobil barcode scanners for order picking.
