About The Position

The Forklift Operator Lead loads, unloads, stages, pulls, and distributes pallets of product and supplies, and rotates floor stock by moving the oldest product first. The position also performs other warehouse or production duties as assigned and requires forklift certification. As a lead, this employee directs and regulates the workflow of other forklift operators, with the ability to lead the crew with minimal supervision. This is a full-time third-shift position in Dallas, Texas, working from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled is required. Starting pay is $24.76 per hour, increasing to $26.12 per hour in the quarter after the employee’s six-month anniversary.

Requirements

Forklift certification is required.
At least 1 year of forklift operation experience.
Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly.
Strong communication skills and ability to multitask and provide feedback.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks.
Coordinate materials throughout the KDP facility.
Monitor, count, track, and receive materials.
Direct the daily workflow of forklift operators and step in where needed.
Lead the crew with minimal supervision.
Load route trucks and semi-trailers using a propane or battery-operated forklift and/or pallet jack, moving product in and out of the warehouse as required.
Assist with unloading.
Stage, pull, and distribute pallets of product and supplies.
Rotate floor stock by moving the oldest product first.
Perform other warehouse or production duties as assigned.
