About The Position

This position primarily consists of picking individual cartons for outbound orders via Powered Vehicles at elevations. The role involves operating a Reach Lift and/or Order Picker Powered Vehicle, using WMS/WMI RF Scanners, and loading, transporting, and delivering materials and supplies on pallets to production areas. The operator will pull cases of product from bulk for Outbound daily usage, communicate production problems to appropriate personnel, and work safely around moving equipment and conveyors. The job requires the ability to stand/walk on concrete floors, read and comprehend basic order forms, and communicate well with others. The work environment is non-climatically controlled throughout the year. Other responsibilities include sorting, lifting, and stacking boxes and finished product, safely operating various equipment like box knives, tape guns, electronic handheld devices, and RF scanners, as well as machinery such as conveyors, tapers, labelers, palletizers, and bailers. The role also involves collecting and disposing of scrap, maintaining a clean work environment, loading boxes onto pallets, meeting production, quality, and accuracy standards, assisting with material handling duties, and potentially working in different operational areas based on business needs. The position adheres to facility hours, including overtime and weekends, and requires maintaining a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • No written warnings in the past 6 months
  • Must be able to lift/load up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in high elevations with the use of Personal Protective Equipment as required (350 lbs max w/e)
  • Must be able to wear steel toe shoes when operating a powered industrial vehicle. Shoes must meet ANSI Z41.1991, ASTM F 2412-05, 2413-05 standard

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Reach Lift and/or Order Picker Powered Vehicle
  • Operate WMS/WMI RF Scanners
  • Load, transport, and deliver materials and supplies on pallets to production areas via powered industrial trucks
  • Pull cases of product from bulk for Outbound daily usage
  • Communicate production problems to appropriate personnel
  • Work safely around moving equipment and conveyors
  • Stand/walk on concrete floors
  • Read and comprehend a basic order form and communicate well with others
  • Work in non-climatically controlled environment
  • Sort, lift and stack boxes as well as finished product correctly onto pallets
  • Safely operate various types of equipment to include but not limited to i.e., box knives, tape guns, electronic handheld devices, RF scanners, etc.
  • Safely operate machinery to include but not limited to conveyors, tapers, labeler, palletizer and bailers
  • Collect and properly dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Load boxes onto pallets from bulk storage locations
  • Meet or exceed departmental standards for production, quality, and accuracy
  • Assist with various Material Handling duties
  • May work in different areas (departments) in Operations based on business needs
  • Adhere to facility hours to include overtime and weekends
  • Maintain positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
