About The Position

Spartan Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator / General Laborer for its warehouse team in Toledo, Ohio. The role supports warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, moving inventory, completing general labor and order-fulfillment tasks, and maintaining an orderly work area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay starts at $18.00 per hour, based on experience. Candidates must successfully complete a drug screening and background check as a condition of employment. The position requires extended periods of standing and walking, lifting and moving materials, and working in varied warehouse conditions, including hot, cold, and dusty environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to obtain valid forklift certification.
• Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Basic reading, math, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependable transportation.
• Self-motivation, a positive attitude, and commitment to high-quality work.
• Team-oriented approach and integrity when handling high-value inventory.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend, and twist for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, pallets, and inventory to designated warehouse areas.
• Inspect forklifts before and after use and report mechanical issues.
• Follow safety rules, speed limits, and warehouse traffic guidelines.
• Pick, pack, palletize, and stage products.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes.
• Use hand tools and warehouse equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, removing trash, and clearing debris.
• Support inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
• Follow supervisors' instructions and complete work efficiently.
