About The Position

AOCUSA is hiring a Forklift Operator 1 for the Third Shift (11:00 PM EST – 7:30 AM EST), Monday – Friday, with overtime as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position in Tampa, Florida. Amalie Oil Company, a leader in motor oil and industrial lubricant blending, is seeking talented team players to join their growing team. The Forklift Operator 1 will operate propane and/or electric industrial forklift trucks to handle materials within a manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Prior forklift experience
• Good math, language, and reading skills
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment
• Efficient time management skills
• Ability to safely operate the forklift in tight and congested areas
• Successful completion of Forklift certification per AOCUSA and OSHA standards
• Basic English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Obtain production schedule and/or shipping orders to identify, verify, and transport raw materials, finished goods, or equipment to machines, loading docks, and storage areas.
• Apply general industry understandings of machine loading capacities and truck loading schedules for prompt and efficient delivery.
• Utilize basic understandings to properly apply protective materials and strapping equipment to secure outgoing loads.
• Collect and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, strapping, and pallet debris to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures for equipment operation and record keeping.
• Seek and follow guidance from higher-ranking forklift operators for material handling efficiencies.
• Utilize an RF scan gun for basic inventory tracking.
• Report any problems with materials or transportation to department leadership.
• Consistently perform daily forklift inspections at the start of the scheduled shift.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
