Requirements

  • Mechanical experience in one or more areas: automotive, diesel and or forklift
  • One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Five plus year's forklift equipment experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction
  • Valid California driver’s license/good driving record
  • Own and maintain up to date tools of the trade
  • Keeps work and supply areas clean and orderly, and follows all safety rules and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, service, and repair forklifts and farm equipment
  • Disassemble, overhaul, repair and reassemble engines, transmission, differential, clutch, brake, electrical system, fuel system, and any other part related to material handling or farm equipment
  • Perform scheduled equipment service ranging from minor to major service
  • Use all tools of the trade, including precision instruments, welding equipment, shop machines, overhead hoists and power tools in adjusting and repairs
  • Complete accurately all required internal and customer driven paperwork, including work orders, safety inspections, timesheets
  • Ensure company equipment and tools comply with safety and cleanliness standards
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Own and maintain up to date tools of the trade
  • Keeps work and supply areas clean and orderly, and follows all safety rules and procedures
  • Required to work overtime if needed
