Requirements

Mechanical experience in one or more areas: automotive, diesel and or forklift
One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school; Five plus year's forklift equipment experience or equivalent education and experience
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction
Valid California driver’s license/good driving record
Own and maintain up to date tools of the trade
Keeps work and supply areas clean and orderly, and follows all safety rules and procedures

Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and repair forklifts and farm equipment
Disassemble, overhaul, repair and reassemble engines, transmission, differential, clutch, brake, electrical system, fuel system, and any other part related to material handling or farm equipment
Perform scheduled equipment service ranging from minor to major service
Use all tools of the trade, including precision instruments, welding equipment, shop machines, overhead hoists and power tools in adjusting and repairs
Complete accurately all required internal and customer driven paperwork, including work orders, safety inspections, timesheets
Ensure company equipment and tools comply with safety and cleanliness standards
Demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills
Own and maintain up to date tools of the trade
Keeps work and supply areas clean and orderly, and follows all safety rules and procedures
Required to work overtime if needed
